According to the news outlet, earlier this week, the county government signed framework agreements on strategic cooperation with six enterprises, aimed at promoting the construction of Hainan s free trade port and involving the development of infrastructure in the Qiongzhong Li and Miao Autonomous County. Initiatives include the projects to develop tropical agriculture, tourism, improve land quality, and build an airport near Wanling, located in the northern part of the county.

According to the news outlet, with maximum active efforts, the number of enterprises specializing in the production of science-intensive products may reach 1,200. According to the forecast, the volume of transactions in the local technology market in 2021 will amount to about 3 billion yuan ($ 463 million). The pharmaceutical industry is expected to grow substantially in the region. In particular, the island will be engaged in the production of several important drugs.

According to the newspaper, the new measures will affect 14 industries, including manufacturing, telecommunications and transport, construction companies and software manufacturers. They will affect the financial sector and commercial organizations involved in leasing, logistics, wholesale and retail trade, as well as the implementation of projects in the field of agriculture, ecology, culture, health and public education, hotel and restaurant business.
