Days after U.S. President Joe Biden cancelled construction plans for the Keystone XL Pipeline - meant to carry oil from Canada’s Alberta province to Nebraska - posts on social media alleged this move was due to Warren Buffett’s extensive political donations to Biden’s campaign. They claim that railways owned by Buffett now stand to benefit from transporting the oil that the Keystone XL Pipeline would have carried. Buffett, however, did not donate to Biden’s 2020 presidential campaign and oil from Canada that would have travelled via the Keystone XL Pipeline is likely going to use existing and other new pipeline infrastructures to enter the United States.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) has increasingly become a thorn in Republican leaders’ side due to her advocacy for various disturbing conspiracy theories. And now Democrats are seeking to weaponize her reputation to their benefit ahead of 2022’s midterm elections.
The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee
(DCCC) is launching a $500,000 television and online ad blitz against vulnerable House Republicans that ties them to Greene and to her support of the QAnon conspiracy theory, which falsely claims powerful Democrats are part of a cabal of cannibal pedophiles.
The ad buys are one step in an escalating campaign Democrats are waging against the Congress member, in which they seek to deplatform her in Congress while fundraising off the controversies surrounding her.

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee is unveiling its first major TV and digital campaign of the 2022 cycle with a focus on Republicans who have refused to stand up to QAnon conspiracies that featured prominently in the Capitol riot last month.
“Washington Republicans have made their choice – they chose to cave to the murderous QAnon mob that has taken over their party,” DCCC Chair Sean Patrick Maloney (D-NY) said in a news release announcing the ads Tuesday.
The effort comes as Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) a promoter of QAnon theories painted herself as a victim amid a growing onslaught of criticism for incendiary and false remarks on a broad spectrum of issues. That includes endorsing violence against Democratic lawmakers, according to a recent CNN report, and the suggestion that some school shootings were “false-flag” operations.
