Susan Collins, R-Maine, doesn t want a minimum wage increase included.  Democratic Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer still wants a bold and robust bill. Competing interests, a thin House majority, and a Senate composition that gives an enormous amount of power to individual members mean President Joe Biden faces an uphill climb to pass his $1.9 trillion COVID-19 relief package. Keeping National Guard troops in D C is unnecessary political act, says retired military intelligence officer

https://www.afinalwarning.com/492185.html (Natural News) 5,000 of the over 26,000 National Guard troops sent to Washington, D.C. to provide security for President Joe Biden’s inauguration will remain in the capital, after the rest have been sent home or redeployed. Now, a retired military intelligence officer has commented that these units are turning into an “occupation force,” and that their continued presence is unacceptable. As of Jan. 26, there are currently around 7,000 National Guard units remaining in D.C. A spokesperson for the guard said that these numbers will be whittled down to just 5,000 by mid-March, which means that thousands of Guardsmen will be sticking around the Capitol for nearly two months longer than they were initially told.
