• Myanmar military targets Suu Kyi: Military police file a new charge against pro-democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi, for breaking coronavirus restrictions. The junta, which last week allowed for detention without court, may try to hold her indefinitely. Meanwhile labor strikes take aim at the regime, while Buddhist monks have begun demonstrating outside of UN offices.
Ted Cruz Suggested GOP Could Call Pelosi as Witness Prior to Trump Trial Agreement

Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz said Saturday that Republicans could have called Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi as a witness for former President Donald Trump s second impeachment trial, as the Senate briefly considered stretching the trial for several more days.
Speaking to a group of reporters, Cruz said it could have been very likely that Trump s defense lawyers would call on Pelosi, after the Senate approved an unexpected last-minute vote to bring witnesses into the trial. Nancy Pelosi is clearly a relevant witness to this matter. Speaker Pelosi can testify as to when she knew about the threats on the Capitol and what she knew specifically, Cruz said earlier on Saturday.
