WASHINGTON, D.C. Congresswoman Claudia Tenney issued the following statement in response to President Joe Biden s address to a joint session of Congress.
“President Biden promised unity, but in his first 100 days, he’s surrendered to the partisan far-left agenda that is causing irreparable damage to citizens across the nation.
“The spending plan President Biden unveiled tonight sacrifices freedom and embraces socialism. The disastrous plan is a $1.8 trillion partisan grab-bag of liberal priorities that would bring his total spending proposed in the first 100 days to a record $6.6 trillion. That’s many times more than we spent during the Great Depression and the Great Recession combined when adjusted for inflatio
In the article, CNN claims Biden is “no firebrand ideologue” but admits his “radicalism is expressed through a huge pandemic rescue bill, a larger proposal that redefines the concept of infrastructure, and a massive health and child care blueprint.” This label, the article continues, is not viable if Republicans use it.
“Republicans think they can brand Biden as a radical and spark a backlash,” one of the subheads states.
The article largely ignores the fact that most of Biden’s so-called “solutions” have been enacted without Republican input or support in exchange for “an agenda that argues government can still solve national problems, 40 years after an era-defining Republican president spelled out the opposite conclusion.”
