NEW YORK - A 13-year-old boy and a 19-year-old man were killed Snday as New York City continues to struggle with gun violence. According to authorities, the 13-year-old victim was standing in front of a cafe on 187th Street at around 3:15 p.m. in the Belmont section of the Bronx, when he was shot several times by assailants who drove up in a car. The boy was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
