Police on Friday arrested a fugitive wanted in a 33-year-old rape case in Jammu and Kashmir s Srinagar district, officials said.
Ghulam Mohd alias Gulla of Kherkote Banihal was underground and on the run for the last 33 years after registration of a rape and kidnapping case against him, they said.

Budgam (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], April 17 (ANI): In a joint operation with the Army, police arrested three terrorist associates of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) in Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Incriminating materials were recovered from their possession, police said. Police in Budgam along with 53 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) arrested three terrorist associates linked with proscribed terror outfit LeT and recovered incriminating materials from their possession, said the police.
On Wednesday, two Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terrorists, along with three over ground workers (OGWs), were arrested by Kulgam Police in Jammu and Kashmir. (ANI)

Terrorists misused mosques for attacks in J&K s Pampore, Sopore, Shopian: IGP Kashmir
Inspector-General of Police Kashmir Vijay Kumar on Monday informed that terrorists misused mosques for attacks in Jammu and Kashmir s Pampore, Sopore and Shopian. According to the IGP, terrorists misused mosques for attacks in Pampore on June 19, 2020, Sopore on July 1, 2020, and Shopian on April 9, 2021. Terrorists misused mosques for terror attacks in Pampore on June 19, 2020, Sopore on July 1, 2020, and Shopian on April 9, 2021. Public, Masjid Intizamia, civil societies, and media should condemn such acts, he said.
On April 9, a total of five terrorists were killed in an encounter with security in Shopian, where terrorists were holed up inside a mosque.
J-K Police recover arms, incriminating material of LeT in Budgam ANI | Updated: Apr 03, 2021 19:20 IST
Budgam (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], April 3 (ANI): The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Saturday recovered incriminating material of proscribed terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba, arms and ammunition in a forest area in the Budgam district.
As per a statement, a search was conducted in the forest area of village Shanipora Khan Saab in Budgam based on credible inputs, and arms recovered from a bag beneath some bushes.
The recovered arms and ammunition includes one Chinese pistol, one Under Barrel Grenade Launcher (UBGL), four round of UBGL, four pistol magazines, three radio set antenna, one 09 volt battery, three 7.62mm rounds, 98 0.9mm rounds, and one bonnet cover.
n last three months 20 terrorists have been killed by the security forces in Kashmir.

Three terrorists have been gunned down by security forces during an anti-terror operation in in Jammu and Kashmir s Pulwama district, the police said. Two of them were involved in yesterday s attack on a BJP leader s house in Srinagar, they added.
The terrorists were trapped in a three story house at Kakapora in Pulwama district where heavy gunfire and blasts have been heard since morning.
Yesterday one policeman was killed during a terrorist attack at BJP leader Anwar Ahmad s home at Nowgam, on the outskirts of Srinagar. The attackers decamped with the rifle of fallen policeman. Police said four terrorists of Lashkar e Toiba carried out the attack.
