Gulmarg, Gurez and other higher reaches in northern Kashmir experienced fresh snowfall last night.
The overnight incessant rainfall, however, drenched the plains of Kashmir thus bringing down the temperature further in the Valley.
After fresh snowfall at Razdan Pass, authorities ordered closure of Bandipora-Gurez road. The road was closed this morning after Razdan Top along the road received at least six inches of fresh snowfall.
The road was thrown open for one way traffic just a week ago after hectic efforts by the authorities. The road usually remains closed during winter months due to heavy snowfall in the area.

Jammu, April 6 : The Jammu-Srinagar National Highway will remain closed for vehicular traffic on Wednesday in view of the inclement weather forecast by the Met department, said the traffic police.
During this winter season, the highway was closed several times due to snowfall and landslides triggered by rains.
The Jammu-Srinagar National highway is the lifeline of the Kashmir valley and the main road link connecting Kashmir with the rest of the country. Kashmir-bound trucks laden with essential supplies and other vehicles pass through this highway.
