Covid-19: Seven deaths, 1,295 new cases recorded today

PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia today recorded seven Covid-19 fatalities, apart from 1,295 new cases to take the total number of infections in the country to 87,913, said Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah. He said five fatalities were reported in Sabah and one each in Selangor and Kelantan, with all of them aged between 52 and 77. “This takes the Covid-19 death toll in Malaysia to 429 or 0.49 per cent of the total number of cases,” he said at the daily media conference on Covid-19 today. Dr Noor Hisham said that up to noon today, there were 1,052 recoveries, taking the total number of recoveries to 72,733 or 82.7 per cent of the total number of cases.

KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 1,772 new Covid-19 positive cases and three fatalities were recorded in the past 24 hours, taking the death toll in the country to 422, said Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah. He said the latest development took the total number of infections in the country to 86,618, with 14,515 of them being active cases. He said that 1,084 recoveries were also recorded during the same period, taking the total number of recoveries to 71,681 or 83.2% of the total number of cases. “Of the new cases, 12 were imported cases who were infected abroad while the remaining 1,760 cases were local transmissions,” he said in a statement on Covid-19 today.

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 13 Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah announced 1,229 Covid-19 cases nationwide and four new deaths today. However, he also announced that 1,309 patients recovered from the virus. Selangor charted 435 new cases in the last 24 hours, claiming 35.4 per cent of the total cases nationwide, putting it in top spot among states. Of the new infections, 79.1 per cent or 344 cases were from clusters and Covid-19 close contact tracings.
