An IPS officer of 1979 batch, Rao served as the last DGP of the combined Andhra Pradesh state, before its bifurcation.

He was 65 years and is survived by his wife Sowmini and son Vikas.
According to his family members, Prasada Rao complained of chest pain and was about to be taken to the hospital. He breathed his last at around 1 am (Indian Standard Time) by the time the ambulance arrived at his residence.

Hyderabad: The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University-Hyderabad (JNTU-H) is getting ready to conduct the pending fourth-year first semester (end semester) paper of B.Tech courses through the online method.
The university to effect is in the process of purchasing software that will aid the authorities in conducting online exams.
Students will receive the question paper for the subject online, and they will be able to take the test at home using a laptop, desktop, or smartphone with an in-built camera.

The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University-Hyderabad (JNTU-H) is preparing to conduct an exam for the fourth-year semester paper of Btech courses online. The University is acquiring software that will assist the authorities to hold online examinations.
The question paper will be given online to the student where he/she can appear for the exam at home using a laptop or desktop or smartphone with an in-built camera. The answers are to be written on white paper, and the photos of the copies should be sent online.
Students who have problems with the devices or internet connectivity can reach out to JNTU-H at least two days before the exam date. Only such students will be considered to write the exam in their nearest JUNTU-H-affiliated colleges.
