Guwahati/Agartala/Imphal, Jan 15 : The eight northeastern states are geared up to start the first phase of Covid vaccination drive on Saturday along with the rest of the country, ministers and officials said on Friday.
According to the health officials, the Covid-19 vaccines reached all the eight northeastern states during the past four days for the first round of immunisation, which follows dry runs, training of health workers and readying the infrastructure needed.

Agartala/Imphal/Guwahati, Jan 14 : After Assam and Meghalaya, three more northeastern states - Tripura, Manipur and Sikkim - on Wednesday saw Covid-19 vaccines reach them for the first round of immunisation, officials said.
While Assam received the second consignment of Covid-19 vaccine on Wednesday after the first delivery on Tuesday, Tripura, Manipur and Sikkim received their first lot.

The fight against the infection of COVID-19 shall continue,’ says CM Biren The rate of COVID-19 infection in Manipur has come down significantly, according to a press release issued by Khoirom S. Mangang, the additional health director in charge of the COVID-19 control room set up for the pandemic.

Imphal: After the COVID-19 infections have taken a dip, the Manipur government has decided to resume the Out Patient Department (OPD) services in the hospitals of the state soon. The Centre-run Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) and the State-run Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS) in Imphal are set to resume their OPD services shortly.
A Santa, Director of RIMS said, The OPD service, as well as the other operations, will be resumed in RIMS within the shortest possible time considering the inconvenience faced by the general public.
