Today, May 25, is National Wine Day. Cheers to that! Unlike other holidays, preparing the traditional feast for this day is as simple as pour, sip and enjoy. Plus, dealing with unexpected company, a thorn in the side of any holiday host, is as easy as opening another bottle.

Luigi s Italian Chophouse & Bar
The wine list at this fixture for Italian cuisine has been awarded Wine Spectator s Award of Excellence annually since 2018 and for many other years over the last two decades. The 48-page wine list, predominatly red wines, is broken down by both country and region of origin. Most bottles range from $30 to $50, with a few $500+ offerings for those looking to splurge.

BROADWAY Stephen and Jessica Woodard aren t likely to win a Tony Award or grace the big screen, but make no mistake, they re Broadway stars.
Well, stars of Broadway, North Carolina.
What started as a catering business in 2012 eventually grew into Woodard Family BBQ & Grill, which the husband and wife team opened on South Main Street in Broadway in 2017.
The weekend festival will be held June 11 and 12 in downtown Fayetteville.
The festival kicks off with live music from Throwback Collaboration Band and On The Border. The second day marks the return of the festival s popular car and motorcycle show, as well as a scaled-down selection of arts, craft and food vendors and other entertainment.
Executive Director Sarahgrace Snipes said the festival is honored to be one of the first events allowed back at Festival Park since the pandemic began. We re all very excited for this opportunity, she said. We look forward to approaching this as a kick-off event.
The festival runs from 5 to 11 p.m. Friday, June 11 and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, June 12. Admission is free, though donations are accepted.
