Marjorie Durham Malloy Fox, 92, of Fort Payne, passed away Monday, June 7, 2021.Â
She was born on May 9, 1929, to Cecil E. Durham and Esther Murray Durham in Fort Payne, Alabama.Â
She graduated from DeKalb County High School in Fort Payne in 1947 and received her bachelorâs degree in education from Jacksonville State University. She went on to earn her Masterâs Degree and Educational Specialist Degree from the University of Alabama. She was a beloved 11
th grade English teacher and later a Distributive Education Coordinator at Fort Payne High School until her retirement in 1989.Â
She was first married to Dr. William McCall, who was the Father of her children. She later married Joseph Francis Malloy, Jr. until his death in June 1982.Â
Steven Gillispie joins Oak Mountain Academy as our Athletic Director after serving as the Assistant Athletic Director for Operations and Events at Jacksonville State University for the past six years. While at JSU, Gillispie was responsible for the overall management of all JSU athletic events, directing the Alabama High School Activities Association Jacksonville Basketball Regional tournaments and serving as JSU Staff Sponsor for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
Previously, Gillispie served as the head baseball coach at Youngstown State University and led the Penguins to the first victory in an NCAA Regional Tournament in program history in 2014. Gillispie went to YSU with a reputation as an experienced talent scout/evaluator and instructor.

MOULTRIE, Ga. â Liz Savage and her husband Aaron, are departing from the Colquitt County School System. Liz is the director of the band at Colquitt County High School and Aaron works with percussionists from 6th to 12th grade.
Both of the Savages joined the program at one of its âmessierâ times, Liz Savage said.
