COMMENTARY | Not unlike an astonishing number of people in this city, my memories of the now-shuttered River City Brewing Co., the way I will orient it in my mind s eye, the ways I can picture even now some of its peculiarities    its dark, cavernous rooms; its wide, tall windows with a stunning view of the river; an odd maritime aesthetic that was more Gloucester than Mayport; those decaying boat slips    will forever center around former Jacksonville Mayor Jake Godbold. They seemed to, in many ways, age together, Godbold and River City, as connected as any man and any brick-and-mortar development can be.
