Astronomy Day celebrated at Kendrick Woods on May 15
Astronomy Day: 6 p.m., Kendrick Woods, 971 N. Defiance Trail, Spencerville. Free. Celebrate Astronomy Day with the Lima Astronomical Society. Telescopes, astronomy displays and handouts will be available. The event is weather-dependent.
LIMA The Lima Astronomical Society will celebrate Astronomy Day along with the Johnny Appleseed Metropolitan Park District at Kendrick Woods, 9071 N. Defiance Trail, Spencerville, starting at 6 p.m. Saturday, May 15.
Telescopes, astronomy displays and handouts will be available. Society members will be on hand to answer your questions. Memberships to the Lima Astronomical Society will be available.
This event will be dependent on the weather so check with the Lima Astronomical Society Facebook page if it is cloudy or rainy that evening.

LIMA ArtSpace/Lima will offer a to-go art bag giveaway at noon Saturday, Feb. 13 at its location, 65-67 Town Square, Lima.
Stay in your car and drive through Cherry Alley to the back door to pick up a bag containing a kit to make your own birdfeeder. The kits include a cookie cutter, birdseed and gelatin, a pencil and instructions. There will also be winter bird pictures to identify birds that may visit the feeder and instructions on how to draw birds, courtesy of Johnny Appleseed Metropolitan Park District.
