ALBANY - A former acting U.S. Attorney who once prosecuted one of New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo s closest aides will co-lead an investigation into whether the governor sexually harassed members of his staff.
State Attorney General Letitia James on Monday announced Joon Kim, the former federal prosecutor, and Anne Clark, an employment discrimination attorney, will work together on the independent investigation, which is beginning as five women including four former aides have accused Cuomo of workplace harassment or inappropriate conduct.
Kim s appointment in particular is likely to catch Cuomo s attention: He worked for five years in the Manhattan U.S. Attorney s Office at a time when it was involved in several high-profile investigations and prosecutions of state officials, including top Cuomo aide Joseph Percoco, former Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver and former Senate leader Dean Skelos.

ALBANY – Charlotte Bennett, a former aide to Gov. Andrew Cuomo, said she understood the governor was propositioning her for sex during a June meeting in which he said he was lonely and said he was comfortable being with anyone over the age of 22.
Bennett, 25, told her story for the first time on camera in an interview that aired Thursday on The CBS Evening News with Norah O Donnell, five days after she first went public with her allegations.
Once a senior briefer in Cuomo s office, Bennett said her professional relationship with Cuomo changed in May, with the governor s administration in the midst of responding to the COVID-19 pandemic.
