North Alabama schools dismissing early due to severe weather threat
The threat of severe weather will start in the Shoals and move to the East.

Arab City Schools will dismiss 2 hours early.
Boaz City Schools will dismiss at 12:30 p.m.
Colbert County Schools will dismiss at 1 p.m.
Cornerstone Christian Academy will release pre-school at 1:15 and elementary and high school at 1:30.
Cullman County Schools will dismiss at Noon.
DeKalb County Schools will release at 1 p.m
Florence City Schools will dismiss PreK-6 schools at 11:30 a.m. and grades 7-12 at 12:15 p.m.

DAPHNE, Ala. - Daphne High School Administration and Athletic Department is pleased to announce the hiring of Casey Craig as our Head Volleyball Coach.
Coach Casey Craig is a native of Huntsville, Alabama. She graduated from Grissom High School where she played volleyball including a state runner up and Elite 8 finish. She also participated in softball and basketball. She went on to play a year at Lagrange College earning Freshman of the Year and All Conference honors. She transferred home to Alabama A&M University and was a part of two conference championship teams.

Prom season is just around the corner, but after getting cancelled last year, will schools in the Valley be holding traditional proms?
It turns out there are a lot of different approaches to prom this year. Some districts are going with the traditional route, some are hosting an event with no dancing, and weâve learned at least one district has decided not to have prom at all.
