2023 U S Senior Open to be held at SentryWorld in Stevens Point

SentryWorld will host its first Senior Open and third USGA championship from June 29-July 2, 2023. “The USGA is pleased to return to SentryWorld and the state of Wisconsin to conduct the most prestigious championship in senior golf,” said John Bodenhamer, USGA senior managing director, Championships. “We know that the region and community will enthusiastically support the U.S. Senior Open and that SentryWorld will provide a complete test for an international field competing for the Francis D. Ouimet Memorial Trophy.”

It will be the third installment of the tournament, which debuted in 2018 in Chicago. The 2020 tournament was canceled because of the coronavirus pandemic. The defending champion is the 2019 winner, Helen Alfredsson of Sweden, who was victorious at Pine Needles in Southern Pines, N.C.
