Sovereign Claims Appoints Humphreys, Conolly to its Executive Team February 19, 2021 Sovereign Claims LLC, an insurance risk management consultancy serving underwriters in the real estate development, general contracting and construction industries, has appointed John Humphreys and Neal Conolly to its executive team. Humphreys steps into the newly created role of chief claims officer (CCO), while Conolly joins as president. Founder Timothy Gallagher, who previously served as president, will now serve as chief operating officer. Humphreys’ and Conolly’s addition to the team underscores Sovereign Claims’ commitment to expanding and enhancing its services in New York City and beyond, the company said in a press release. The new hires will play a role in strengthening Sovereign Claims’ One Source strategy, a service philosophy that brings partners’ insurance risk management, underwriting and claims administration needs under one roof.

Live Music: Dirty Dead takes inspiration from the Grateful Dead, to perform at Mills River Brewing

Steve Wong, Times-News correspondent If you’re a Dead Head, you know there is something special about the Grateful Dead, that iconic ‘70s band from California that personified the counter culture with its extensive world touring and diehard fan base. Whenever I see a tie-dyed T-shirt, I can’t help but hear Truckin’ in my mind. No one can truly re-create the sound or attitude of the Dead, but Asheville’s Dirty Dead will honor them this Friday night at Mills River Brewing Co. Don’t expect to hear this band of six men imitate the Dead - expect to hear Dead songs (and others) with a bit more grit.

1 Mary Chapman. The Bethel Hospital opened in 1713 as the first provincial mental hospital in the country. Mary Chapman (1647-1724) took a 1,000 year lease for a peppercorn rent for the site. At the time the concept of treating people with mental illness was not accepted practice and they were often ridiculed or locked away. The Bethel continued to offer psychiatric services until the 1980s.  2 The Chapel in the Fields. The Assembly House was built by local architect Thomas Ivory in 1755 on the site of a medieval hospital college which became known as the Chapel in the Fields. In 1609 the Hobart family of Blickling Hall built a town house here. Henry Hobart bought some of the fields surrounding the original Chapel in the Fields – including what is now Chapelfield Gardens.
