Disobeying NC s curfew could cost you money – and a criminal record :: WRAL com

Updated December 11, 2020 11:32 p.m. EST By Keely Arthur, WRAL reporter Garner, N.C. A statewide curfew aimed at limiting the spread of coronavirus will hurt businesses bottom lines, but not following the rules comes with its own cost. The curfew runs 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., starting Friday. Gov. Roy Cooper said when he announced it on Wednesday that he expects people to stay home at night and not be hanging out with others and possibly spreading the virus. Supermarkets and other businesses that sell food are allowed to stay open past 10 p.m., as well as pharmacies and gas stations. But other businesses have to close their doors, and restaurants and bars have to cut off alcohol sales by 9 p.m.
