Ranchi (Jharkhand) [India], May 13 (ANI): Slamming the Central government, Jharkhand Health Minister Banna Gupta on Thursday alleged that the Centre is treating the state in an unfair manner in terms of COVID-19 vaccine supply. We have ordered 25 lakh doses of each vaccine (Covishield and Covaxin) but we received just 1,34,000 doses of Covaxin and 1 lakh doses of Covishield. Jharkhand is being treated unfairly, Gupta said. The central government has taken a decision to set up 1,057 oxygen plants across the country but Jharkhand got only one out of them, he added.
Jharkhand Health Minister Banna Gupta on Tuesday said that there is no shortage of Remdesivir injection in the state. Gupta, while on his visit to the COVID-19 ward at Sadar Hospital in Ranchi, told the media personnel, There is no shortage of Remdesivir injection in the state. We have received 1,500 injections on Tuesday. The state Health Minister further said, We have written to the Central government for more ventilators. We are increasing the number of ventilators. Some patients have mild symptoms or are asymptomatic who has been admitted in the hospital. They are being sent to home isolation, he added.
