Georgia s eight state-operated mass vaccination sites are set to close on May 21 following a notable decrease in demand, officials said.
After this Friday, the sites will no longer give first doses of the Pfizer vaccine. Instead, they ll offer second doses of Pfizer and the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine until May 21, according to Georgia Emergency Management and Homeland Security Director Chris Stallings.

Items approved include:
Emergency Management Agency â a Statewide Mutual Aid Agreement between Henry County BOC and the Georgia Emergency Management Agency. The agreement gives local governments of the state the authority to make agreements for mutual aid assistance in emergencies; and approved an Intergovernmental Agreement with the Georgia Department of Public Safety for the use of communications tower space for communications systems.
Leisure Services â a bid purchase of lighting, audio and visual at the Locust Grove Recreation Center to PDH Systems in the amount of $45,730 using Capital Improvement funds; and approved two leases for tractor equipment for:
Cotton Fields Golf Course- from AG PRO LLC for a five-year term in the amount of $44,882.20.
