Staged was a movie, we ve come to the latter part of Act 2 where our heroes
David Tennant and
Michael Sheen have hit rock bottom in their foundering friendship. They ve stopped talking to each other, but they left their zoom calls on to show each other how mad they are at each other and are sulking about this. This does not sit well with their wives, because Georgia (
Georgia Tennant) and Anna (

Staged, which is now in its second series, stars Sheen and his
Good Omens co-star David Tennant as versions of themselves, as they try to navigate family life and acting work during coronavirus lockdowns.
The first series, which saw the pair trying to rehearse a play over Zoom, was a hit with viewers and the second series features the actors tackling the world of virtual Hollywood as they continue to be confined to their homes during the pandemic.
The second series is based on the premise that producers are trying to make a US version of
Staged due to its success, but that Tennant and Sheen are being replaced by different actors as producers don t think that they are well-known enough.

And then along came Staged, which raised the bar in terms of what could be achieved under certain limitations. It’s the brainchild of Simon Evans and Phin Glynn and features fictionalised versions of Michael Sheen and David Tennant; Evans also pops up as the director of the play they’re supposed to be starring in once restrictions are lifted, while his sister Lucy plays, you guessed it, his sister Lucy.
Tennant and Sheen’s real-life partners, Georgia Tennant and Anna Lundberg, feature as themselves too, while the first run also included cameos from some very famous faces including Samuel L Jackson and Judi Dench.
