Louisiana community college head will leave after 6 months

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) The head of a northeast Louisiana community college will leave after six months on the job, the Louisiana Community and Technical College System said Thursday.
Scott Rule, who became chancellor of Louisiana Delta Community College on Jan. 1, is leaving June 30, a news release said.
Before coming to the college in Monroe, Rule was president of West Georgia Technical College in Carrollton.
“I have been trying to meet commitments and goals outside the college that I had planned to pursue upon my retirement from the Georgia system,” the news release quoted from his written message to faculty and staff at Delta. “I have come to realize I cannot do both.
