LONG COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) - One person is dead and another has serious injuries after a car accident In Long County Friday night.
It happened shortly after 11:30 p.m. on Highway 84 near Barrett Cemetery Road.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, an SUV was attempting to make a U-turn when the driver pulled into the path of a sedan.
Life Star was dispatched to transport Tarius Allen, of Allenhurst, GA, to Savannah but shortly left without him. Allen was later transported to Liberty Regional Medical Center in Hinesville where he was pronounced dead.

A two car accident on Highway 84 near Barrett Cemetery Road had the roadway closed in both directions on the evening of Feb. 26.
According to Georgia State Patrol Trooper, Markus White one person died as the result of the wreck, the other driver was seriously injured.

BAINBRIDGE, Ga. (WALB) - Just after 5:30 Wednesday afternoon, Bainbridge Public Safety (BPS) officers were dispatched to East Broughton Street in reference to a traffic accident involving a child on a bicycle.
Officers found the boy and provided aid and comfort to the child, who was alert and conscious until EMS arrived and made preparations for him to be taken by medical helicopter, according to BPS. He was flown to Tallahassee, Fla. for treatment, BPS officials said.
Flowery Branch man charged in fatal November crash
A Flowery Branch man was charged with first-degree vehicular homicide almost two months after the crash that killed a Sugar Hill woman, according to authorities.
Leonardo Cruz-Venegas, 29, was also charged with driving under the influence, speeding, reckless driving, failure to maintain lane, serious injury by vehicle and furnishing alcohol to a minor.
Georgia State Patrol troopers were called out around 8:50 p.m. Nov. 25 to a wreck on McEver Road north of Lake Run Drive.
State patrol assistant post commander Sgt. C.E. Parker said a northbound Toyota Corolla crossed the center line and struck a Volkswagen Jetta head-on in the southbound lane.
