(WWSB) - United Airlines has announced a daily nonstop service between the Sarasota Bradenton International Airport (SRQ) and George Bush Intercontinental/Houston Airport (IAH). The service between SRQ and IAH will begin on Feb. 11, 2021 and will use an Embraer 175 jet aircraft. “We are excited about the continued growth of United Airlines at SRQ. This new service will provide our customers convenient access to the Houston area and many cities beyond in the United Airlines system and continues our network growth of over 40 destinations,” said Rick Piccolo, SRQ President, Chief Executive Officer.

United Airlines adds Houston flights from Sarasota-Bradenton airport

United Airlines will begin nonstop service between Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport and George Bush Intercontinental/Houston Airport next month, making it the second airline that will start service to Houston from SRQ. Flights on United s Embraer 175 jet aircraft will begin Feb. 11. Service between Houston and SRQ is scheduled to run daily year-round. Flights will depart Houston at 11:55 a.m. and land in Sarasota at 3:04 p.m. Aircraft will then depart Sarasota-Bradenton at 4:45 p.m. daily and arrive back in Houston at 6:25 p.m.  We are excited about the continued growth of United Airlines at SRQ, airport president and CEO Rick Piccolo said. This new service will provide our customers convenient access to the Houston area and many cities beyond in the United Airlines system and continues our network growth of over 40 destinations.
