Blessing Omakwu is a Deputy Director at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, where she leads the Goalkeepers initiative. Goalkeepers is a campaign, a community, and a catalyst for action on the Sustainable Development Goals. Goalkeepers is dedicated to accelerating progress using powerful stories, data, and partnerships to highlight progress achieved and energize a diverse group of leaders.
Prior to joining the Gates Foundation, Blessing worked with and advised a variety of international organizations and government agencies including the ONE Campaign, the Nigerian Federal House of Representatives and the United Nations Development Program. In 2020, Blessing served as the Co-Lead of Room 5 (for SDG 5) of the Rockefeller Foundation and Brooking’s Institutes 17 Rooms initiative.

We know exactly what would happen. There would be cataclysmic outrage across the board, and justifiably so. The bigger question is, why isn’t there cataclysmic outrage right now over what is happening to conservative speech? If these monopolies can effectively censor a massive group of 75 million people, they can surely come after your group next. Wake up, America.
Imagine if the old AT&T chose to police all telephone calls on their platform in order to bleep-out falsehoods and certain types of political speech they didn’t like. Sounds outrageous, like something from the old communist Soviet Union, right? Yet, this is exactly what the Big Tech monopolies are doing today. Their actions are a tacit declaration of war against America and the spirit of 1776.

The more people get vaccinated, the quicker the coronavirus pandemic can be tamped down and life can return to normal that’s how vaccines work.
Some airlines are already starting to require flyers to show proof they’ve tested negative. And soon, airlines, sports arenas and entertainment venues may ask for proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
International travelers to certain countries have likely had to show proof of the required vaccines. Children have to obtain certain shots at most schools.
