WASHINGTON, DC Mayor Muriel Bowser confirmed Monday she was extending the coronavirus public health emergency for D.C. to March 31, 2021. She issued her first emergency order early last March, so the District will be under a public health emergency for more than a year.
With the number of COVID-19 cases, hospitalizations, and deaths on the rise, Bowser said she was issuing a Mayor s Order to implement adjustments to Phase 2 restrictions. These changes go into effect 10 p.m. on Wednesday, and run through to 5 a.m., on Jan. 15, 2021.
Breast surgeon Dr. Lisa D. Curcio has joined Nuvance Health to establish a breast surgery program at Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck. Curcio will also see patients for office visits at Nuvance Healthâs Kingston Multispecialty Center in Kingston.
Curcio decided to specialize in breast surgical oncology after she was diagnosed with breast cancer when she was 38 years old.
Curcio also has a special interest in survivorship and breast cancer prevention, including the role of genetic testing.

Before joining Nuvance Health, Curcio practiced at Memorial Care Medical Group and was medical director of surgical services at Breastlink in Laguna Hills, California. Curcio completed a surgical oncology fellowship at City of Hope National Medical Center in Duarte, California; and a general surgery residency and an internship at George Washington University Hospital in Washington, D.C.
