COVID-19: Unlinked case in Emu Plains prompts calls for further testing

Two COVID-19 cases with no linked source in Sydney s west near Penrith has concerned health officials. Crystal WuDigital Reporter July 15, 2021 - 12:05PM NSW Chief Health Officer Dr Kerry Chant says a new case in Emu Plains, a suburb in Sydney s west, is of particular concern. Dr Chant says the case has not been linked to the previous cluster, prompting calls for further testing. The case is unlinked and under investigation there was also a previous case in Emu Plains in the last week with no known source, she told reporters on Thursday. So this is of concern to us. We are asking anyone in Emu Plains to get tested, even for the most minor of symptoms.

Council unanimously backed the progress report on the Local Strategic Planning Statement 2040 Implementation Plan (LSPS2040), with reinforced commitment to build a better place to live, work and visit. Georges River Mayor Kevin Greene said, “It is exciting to see so many opportunities in our city for the community. “The progress to date continues our commitment and vision of a people-friendly Georges River hub with accessible transport facilities, bustling economy, affordable housing and increased greenery and open spaces.”

Our Journeys I Our Stories tells a story of past and present Chinese settlers through the eyes of six internationally renowned Australian Chinese artists, Lindy Lee, Guan Wei, Cindy Yuen-Zhe Chen, Xiao Lu, Jason Phu and Guo Jian, unveiling new artworks based on their personal interpretations of historical documents and imagery selected from local Chinese history.
