HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) - Condolences are pouring in after a veteran Horry County police officer lost his life in the line of duty.
LCpl. Melton “Fox” Gore, 57, was killed Tuesday night while he was performing a task outside of his truck near the intersection of Highway 22 and Highway 31. The chief of police said that the preliminary investigation shows that Gore was trying to get some debris out of the road when he was hit.

GEORGETOWN COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - Authorities say a missing 37-year-old woman from Georgetown County has been found safe.
Officials with the Georgetown County Sheriffâs Office announced Thursday afternoon that the woman was located.

GEORGETOWN COUNTY, S.C. Deputies are asking for the public s help to find a missing Georgetown County woman.
Deputies say Christina Diane Moore left her home in the Pleasant Hill area of Georgetown County on foot between 3 and 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 5. Officials say Moore has a medical condition.
Moore is described as a 37-year-old female with brown hair and brown eyes, who stands around 5 7 and weighs 140 pounds. Moore was last seen wearing a camouflage jacket, blue jeans and camouflage hunting boots.
If you see Moore or have any information as to her whereabouts, you are asked to contact the Georgetown County Sheriff s Office at (843) 546-5102 and ask for the shift supervisor.

Deputies say a woman is accused of pointing and presenting a weapon at two people outside a Dollar General in the 8000 block of N. Frasier Street.
