Truck hits house in Georgetown Township, alcohol believed to be factor Sentinel Staff The Ottawa County Sheriff s Office responded to a hit-and-run crash involving a pickup truck and a house early Saturday. The suspect a 33-year-old male fled the scene after his truck struck a home and  in the area of Oakwood Drive and Cottonwood in Georgetown Township of Ottawa County. The investigation shows that a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling at a high rate of speed and lost control subsequently striking a house in the area. One resident of the home sustained minor injuries and was treated and released at the scene.

Georgetown Township crash sends Grand Rapids woman to hospital Sentinel Staff GEORGETOWN TWP. A two-vehicle crash Thursday sent a Grand Rapids woman to an area hospital with minor injuries. Deputies with the Ottawa County Sheriff s Office responded at 11:35 a.m. Thursday, April 29, to the intersection of Baldwin Street and 36th Avenue. The preliminary investigation determined a 32-year-old Grand Rapids woman and her 41-year-old female passenger from Grand Rapids were heading westbound on Baldwin Street.  As she was changing lanes, her vehicle crashed into a second westbound vehicle driven by a 36-year-old Hudsonville woman.  The 41-year-old Grand Rapids woman was injured in the crash and transported to Mercy Health Saint Mary s Hospital in Grand Rapids.

It happened about 11:35 a.m. at the intersection of Baldwin Street and 36 th Avenue in Georgetown Township, a news release said. A sheriff’s office investigation showed that the first vehicle, driven by a Grand Rapids resident, was traveling west on Baldwin Street and was changing lanes, hitting the second vehicle, which was being driven by a Hudsonville resident. The passenger in the first vehicle was injured and transported by Life Ambulance to Saint Mary’s.

Ottawa County authorities seek armed robbery suspect file photo and last updated 2021-04-23 23:22:30-04 GEORGETOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Authorities responded to reports of an armed robbery at the O’Reilly Auto Parts located on Baldwin Street tonight, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office. We’re told the suspect walked into the store displaying a handgun when he began demanding money. The sheriff’s office says he made off with an unspecified amount of cash. The suspect is described as a short Hispanic man dressed in black, authorities tell us. Those with information in connection to the armed robbery are asked to call Ottawa County dispatchers at 1-800-249-0911 or Silent Observer at 1-877-88-SILENT.
