Robinhood in a tough position as it faces a wave of lawsuits over GameStop saga Roger Parloff
Since the Robinhood mobile trading app temporarily blocked its customers from buying stock in GameStop (GME), AMC (AMC) Entertainment, and 11 other companies last Thursday, it has been hit with at least 33 federal lawsuits across the country. Filed in 10 states, including California, Florida, Illinois, and New York, most seek class action status and allege violations of securities laws or consumer protection statutes.

The first second gentleman couldn’t seem more normal
Doug Emhoff has now had a week and a half to adjust to being second gentleman of the United States. It’s been a ride.
Emhoff recently had a private tour of the Library of Congress, where he learned the history of second ladies who came before him, and also got to touch historical items such as Rosa Parks’ bible and Abraham Lincoln’s law notes.
“I just love this stuff!” he said excitedly to the camera, along for the tour to capture Emhoff’s thoughts.
The optimism, while not naïve, is somewhat in the vein of the blush of the new.

National Unity Platform (NUP) party leader Robert Kyagulanyi, aka Bobi Wine, has notified the Supreme Court that he will file a petition challenging the re-election of President Museveni tomorrow, the Judiciary has confirmed.
This will be the fourth time President Museveni’s election will be challenged, the previous occasions being 2001, 2006 and 2016.
Commenting about the development, Judiciary spokesperson Jameson Karemani said: “It is true Mr Kyagulanyi’s lawyers had written to the court to allow them to file their petition today (Saturday) but the Chief Justice advised that they file it on Monday.”
