Long March 4C lofts three Yaogan Weixing-31 satellites

China launched its second orbital mission in 2021, orbiting three new satellites from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center on Friday. The launch took place from Launch Pad 94 of the LC43 launch complex using the Long March-4C (Y31) rocket.
The Yaogan Weixing-31 Group-02 mission comprises three satellites, with Chinese media referring to the new satellites to be used “for electromagnetic environment surveys and other related technology tests.”
This mission is similar to the Yaogan- 31 Group-01 launched on April 10, 2018, but the satellites were orbited in a new orbital plane at 43 degrees E from the previous triplet.

China launches new remote sensing satellites
JIUQUAN - The second group of China s Yaogan-31 remote sensing satellites were sent into space from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in Northwest China on Jan 29 at 12:47 pm (Beijing Time).
The satellites were carried by a Long March-4C rocket. It was the 359th flight mission of the Long March carrier rocket series, the launch center said.
Having entered their planned orbits, the satellites will be used for electromagnetic environment surveys and other related technology tests.
China launched the first group of the Yaogan-31 remote sensing satellites in 2018.

China launched a Long March 4C carrier rocket at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwestern China on Friday afternoon to transport several satellites into space.
China Aerospace Science and Technology said in a statement that the rocket, built by its Shanghai Academy of Spaceflight Technology, blasted off at 12:47 pm and later joined the second group of the Yaogan 31-series remote-sensing satellites in orbit.

Construction of China's first smart manufacturing plant for satellites has been completed in Wuhan, capital of Hubei province, and it is scheduled to be ready to commence production in March, its owner said.
