While representing a number of victims of Bhoja Airlines crash of 2012 in Islamabad, Advocate Omer Adam has sought the Islamabad High Court’s directives for registration of a criminal case against the owner of the airline under section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
However, the court expressed that it will decide the matter on next date of hearing whether there are sufficient grounds to implicate owner of the Bhoja Airlines in murder charges. The section 302 of the PPC is about punishment for murder. According to the section, “Whoever commits murder shall be punished with death, or imprisonment for life, and shall also be liable to fine”.

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) on Wednesday demanded of the interior minister to stop the Sindh government from hurting citizens’ self-respect under the garb of coronavirus SOPs, ARY News reported.
According to the details, MQM-P demanded of Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed to stop the police from misbehaving with the senior citizens and women on the streets in Karachi. Citizens’ rights are being violated in the metropolis, it added.
Criticizing the provincial government, MQM-P said that it converted Karachi into a “police state”. It further said that the Sindh government has failed to launch an awareness drive about COVID-19 SOPs.

The Model Customs Collectorate of the Jinnah International Airport Karachi has foiled an attempt to smuggle 58 iPhones worth Rs10,900,000, said Syed Irfan Ali, a spokesman for the Customs.
Ali said that Deputy Collector Customs Airport Inamullah Wazir was informed that an attempt would be made to smuggle mobile phones and electronic items from Dubai to Karachi.
On Wazir’s instructions, plain-clothes personnel were deployed in the Satellite Area, the Immigration Hall and the Arrival Hall to monitor passengers arriving from abroad. The Customs officers stationed at the Green Channel were also alerted.
During the clearance of the Emirates Airline’s flight EK606 that had arrived from Dubai, the Customs plain-clothes personnel reported the presence of an unattended shopping bag in the Immigration Area’s bathroom to the Customs officers.
