Intersect Aspen announces details of August 1-5 pop-up art fair

NEW YORK, NY
.- This years pop-up edition of Intersect Aspen, taking place August 1 through 5 at the Aspen Ice Garden, will showcase 30 galleries from 26 cities, and will feature a wide array of special programming taking place daily. Intersect Aspen will open with a VIP Preview Brunch on Sunday, August 1 from 10am to 11am, followed by a Public Opening Reception from 11am to 12pm. The Fair will be open to the public daily, August 1 through 5 from 11am to 5pm, and will also be presented online at Artsy.net from August 1-19, 2021. Intersect Aspens VIP Closing Breakfast hosted by UOVO will take place from 10am to 11am on August 5.

DUTES: Finding art for your home can be purely decorative, but it can also be a lot more. The way you adorn your home can be a form of self-expression and a way to tell personal histories.

DUTES: For me, the pieces in my home tell a story about who I am, so I wanted to talk to one of my favorite curators about art in the home.
KIMBERLY DREW: How do you take the agency in your own space to say this is really valuable and this is the object or set of objects that, when someone walks through the threshold of my home, a guest in my home, how do I tell them who I am? And so whether something is art or not is less interesting to me. It s really more, what kind of stories do we want to tell for ourselves in our home space?
