ORANGE GROVE, Texas â Police say several people are facing serious charges following an alleged hazing incident at a local high school.
Investigators said video of the incident was provided to them and they saw several minors participating in the hazing of another minor on school grounds.
Orange Grove police said they reached out to the Texas Rangers along with Jim Wells County Sheriff s Office to assist in their investigation.
After the victim filed a complaint, police said they arrested five people involved in the incident and issued an arrest warrant for another student

ORANGE GROVE - A recent incident of reported hazing at the Orange Grove High School is under investigation by school officials and law enforcement agencies, Orange Grove Police Chief Roy Guerrero said.
Details of the incident cannot be released due to the ongoing investigation involving several juveniles, Guerrero added.
OGISD Superintend Randy Hoyer released a statement Monday, May 10th, about the incident. Last week, OGISD school officials were notified of inappropriate behavior that occurred at the high school. This behavior involved hazing/bullying by a small number of students. An investigation into the facts was conducted by school administrators and local police authorities were contacted immediately, Hoyer said. ALICE, Texas â An investigation by the Jim Wells County Sheriff s Criminal Investigation Division and the United States Postal Service Inspector Generals Office led to a drug bust and arrest.
The Jim Wells County Sheriff said Mark Martinez, 27, was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana and Unlawful Carry of a Weapon during a traffic stop on April 20, 2021.
The Sheriff s Office said they were conducting a narcotics investigation into the shipping of narcotics via the U.S. Postal Service to an address in Alice, Texas.
