Whereâs Frank? Frank Atchison age 94, has already managed 23 days of walking and traversed 140 kilometers from Saskatoon en route to Regina. He kicked off Monday from Craik.
Mr. Atchison is on Highway 11, walking from Saskatoon to Regina with the goal of arriving in the Queen City on his 95th birthday. He will also be celebrating 50 years as a Shriner, so he is raising funds with this walk with proceeds going equally to Shriners Hospitals for Children Canada and the Jim Pattison Childrenâs Hospital Foundation.
Mr. Atchison says he has met many people along the way. Recently Sylvie Kot and her son Kayden dropped by to thank him for his efforts. Her family travelled to Montreal to the Shrinerâs Hospital so Kayden could get major surgery for severe scoliosis in his back, which Sylvie Kot called life changing for Kayden. She says for Frank to be raising money at 94 years old, âhe is a gift of a human beingâ

Frank Atchison is taking the weekend off, but on Monday he will be back on Highway 11 walking from Saskatoon and Regina.
He’s on his walk to raise money for Shriners Hospitals for Children and the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation. He’s made it about 160 kilometres, walking about five kilometres a day since April 15.
He told Gormley earlier this week, a lot of people passing by have stopped and given him a donation.
“And they generally always want to have a picture with me, especially if they have kids,” he said. “It’s been fun. I’ve had a real good time. Just met some wonderful, wonderful people.”
The online raffle has been sponsored by The Mosaic Company, with a guaranteed $10,000 jackpot.
Tickets went on sale today and the draw will be made on June 16 at 4 p.m. at the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation office in Saskatoon.
Tickets can be bought and rules viewed at: www.pattisonchildrens5050.ca
Meanwhile SaskPower is thanking all 6,457 customers who signed up in support of the Children’s Hospital ‘Go Paperless’ campaign.

Well-known Saskatoon resident Frank Atchison plans to walk 5 kilometres per day down Highway 11 from Saskatoon to Regina to raise money for the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation and the Shriners Hospital for Children.
His son, Don Atchison says they have dubbed this “Where’s Frank? Walking for Children” and they plan to arrive in Regina on June 15th.
“The reason June the 15th is so significant is that will be his 95th birthday,” said Atchison. “It will also be his 50th year as a Shriner.”
Money raised will be split between the two hospitals and at the end of his walk Frank Atchison will receive his 50 Year Shriners Service Pin.
