New Delhi, April 28 : The New Zealand cricketers in the Indian Premier League (IPL) who will play the World Test Championship (WTC) final against India, may stay back and fly out to England from here. New Zealand play a two-Test series against England, starting on June 2, followed by the WTC final from June 18.

MELBOURNE, April 27 (Reuters) - Batsman Chris Lynn has asked Australia s cricket board to arrange a charter flight to bring players home at the end of the Indian Premier League (IPL) as India battles a surge in COVID-19 infections.
Three Australian cricketers have already cut short their IPL season to head home but a number of the country s top players, including Steve Smith, David Warner and Pat Cummins, remain.
Cricket Australia (CA) contacted Australia s IPL players on Monday inquiring about their health and travel plans. I texted back that as Cricket Australia make 10% of every IPL contract was there a chance we could spend that money this year on a charter flight once the tournament is over? Lynn, who plays for Mumbai Indians, told News Corp media.

Melbourne: Australia will not prioritise its Indian Premier League (IPL) cricketers for repatriation from India, Prime Minister Scott Morrison said on Tuesday, as the Asian nation continues to battle a massive surge in COVID-19 infections.
Three Australian cricketers have already cut short their IPL season to head home but a number of top players remain, including test stalwarts Steve Smith, David Warner and Pat Cummins.
Several Australians, including former test captain Ricky Ponting, are also involved in the IPL as coaches.

Indian Premier League cricketer Andrew Tye has said the coronavirus situation in India is harrowing , and he is relieved to have flown home.
The 34-year-old left early on Sunday to return to Australia as India struggles with a surge in cases.
Tye said he felt well looked after inside the IPL s bio-secure bubble.
But, speaking to Stumped, he added: You re almost cut off, it s weird. I found in a way that I sort of lost touch with the outside world.
The ICC World Test Cricket Championship final remains on track despite the massive surge in new COVID-19 cases in India.
The test match between the Black Caps and India is scheduled to start on June 18th in Southampton but with India recording a record number of daily COVID it raises the question of whether the final can still go ahead.
Three Australian cricketers made the decision to leave the IPL amid growing concerns around the pandemic in India.
