J&K High Court Bar Association Urges GoI, UT Admin To Shift Kashmiri Prisoners Back To Valley
SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir High Court Bar Association Saturday urged the Government of India and the J&K Union Territory administration to shift Kashmiri prisoners lodged in various jails of India back to the Valley in view of the massive spike in Covid deaths and cases across the country.
In a statement issued the HCBA spokesman said that in an extra ordinary meeting chaired by the Bar chairman Advocate Nazir Ahmed Ronga, serious concern was expressed on the health conditions of the hundreds of Kashmiri prisoners lodged in different jails in India who were already in outside jails post 5 August, 2019.

JAMMU, Apr 10: Despite difficult situation created by deadly Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), the Common High Court of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and Union Territory of Ladakh and District and Subordinate Courts have performed well as far as Case Clearance Rate (CCR) is concerned.
This can be gauged from the data furnished by Registrar General of the High Court to the Union Ministry of Law and Justice on the insistence of the Department Related Parliam-entary Standing Committee on Personnel, Public Grievance, Law and Justice of the Rajya Sabha.
