A new FDA-authorized option is available for patients seeking treatment for opioid and substance use disorders. The new treatment, prescription digital therapeutics, or PDTs, is available through a collaboration between Northwell Health in New Hyde Park and Pear Therapeutics, in Boston and San Francisco.
N0rthwell will offer digital care to patients through Pear’s PDTs (there are two products, “reSET” and “reSET-O”) through the substance abuse treatment programs at Zucker Hillside Hospital, Northwell’s behavioral health facility.

Arriving in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic and isolated in her dorm room, Singhâs anxiety ballooned when her family had trouble coming up with the money for a $16,000 tuition installment.
