서울 외환시장에서 8일 달러/원 환율은 1,140원선 진입을 앞두고 치열한 수급 공방을 펼치며 방향성 탐색에 나설 것으로 것으로 예상된다.
시장 참가자들의 관심이었던 미 연방준비제도(연준)의 지난 6월 연방공개시장위원회(FOMC) 회의록 공개는 시장 예상과 달리 매파적이지 않았다.
의사록에서 위원들은 테이퍼링(양적완화 축소) 조건인 경제 회복의 상당한 진전이 아직 목표에 부합할 정도는 아니라는 데 동의했다.
의사록에 따르면 이들은 새로운 지표들이 경제 기저 모멘텀과 관련해 덜 명확한 신호를 제공하며, 위원회는 향후몇 개월간의 정보를 통해 노동시장 및 물가 경로를 더 잘 평가할 것이라고 판단했다.
