For the last four months, Julianna Jung has had to hold back a secret when talking to some of the people closest to her. As they watched the Holiday Baking Championship on Food Network, the Champaign resident knew about the life-changing final result, but she could only tell her husband.
Even her sister, who she talks to every day on the phone, didnât know.
âWe were just dying inside,â she said. âWe tried so so hard to keep that together.â
On Monday night, the result was revealed as Jung watched from her bedroom at home. After eight shows involving 12 contestants, the final results were broadcast to the world.

CHAMPAIGN, III (WAND) - The title of Holiday Baking Champion goes to Champaign s very own Juliana Jung!
Jung was a contestant on The Food Network s Holiday Baking Championship, winning $25,000 and the title of Holiday Baking Champion.Â
Twelve contestants competed for the title. Jung was the only home-baker in the competition and the first home-baker to make it to the finale.Â
Jung said the competition has been a roller coaster of experiences.Â
âIt was also the time of my life because I got to do what I love on live TV. Tt s been crazy like my phone, never worked this hard in my life, Jung said. I knew that there was gonna be some attention, but not at this level, so I m very very thankful that I m getting all this love and support from every single one of them.
