BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - The Jefferson County Health Department will be activate two vaccination sites Monday, January 18 to vaccinate anyone in phase 1a as well as all first responders including law enforcement personnel, firefighters, and volunteer fire & rescue personnel and all people age 75 and older.
The vaccinations will ne distributed by appointment only. Links to the on-line self-registration form are available at jeffcoema.org or at jcdh.org.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Texas The official coronavirus vaccination hub list for Texas now lists three locations in Southeast Texas.
The three vaccination hubs would be in Jefferson County, Chambers County and Jasper / Newton Counties, according to the COVID-19 Vaccination Hub Providers list on the Texas Department of State Health Services.

WAURIKA, Okla. (TNN) - Pathways to a Healthier You will be hosting a âDrug Take Back Dayâ event at the Jefferson County Health Department.
The event will take place in Waurika on Friday from noon to 2 p.m. and will allow residents to safely dispose of old, unused or expired medications.

STEUBENVILLE With an anticipated 900 more doses of COVID-19 vaccine on the way, the Jefferson County Health Department is making preparation to enter Phase 1B of the state’s vaccine distribution plan.
According to a press release issued by the health department Thursday, the next wave of doses is anticipated to arrive sometime next week.
The county had initially received 400 doses of vaccine last month and distributed it to health care workers and first responders under phase 1A.
Specific dates and locations, the release said, will be announced once the shipment’s receipt and total number of doses are confirmed.
