The appellate court decision paves the way for the season to begin Monday. It will last until kill quotas are reached or Feb. 28, whichever comes first. Friday s legal proceeding was the latest in a whirlwind of activity since the wolf was removed from protections of the federal Endangered Species Act Jan. 4 by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
