Hunter Found Dead After Falling From Tree Stand: Sheriff Patch 12/30/2020 Michael Seale JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL A 52-year-old man was found dead Tuesday after reportedly falling from a tree stand while hunting. The man was found just before noon near the Turnberry Highlands Subdivision in Northern Jefferson County. The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office on Wednesday identified the victim as David Earl Jordan of Kimberly. Sgt. Joni Money of the Jefferson County Sheriff s Office said family members were concerned after Jordan had not returned from a hunting excursion, and went looking for him. Family members notified authorities when they discovered his body.

Son charged with murder in mother’s death in Irondale apartment Updated Dec 29, 2020; A 29-year-old man has been charged in the slaying of his mother at their Irondale apartment. The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office on Tuesday identified the victim as Lea Anne Grant Blanpied. She was 62. Her son, Patrick Hugh Blanpied, is charged with murder. He was booked into the Jefferson County Jail just after 5 p.m. Monday and is being held on $150,000 bond. Irondale police said Patrick Blanpied called 911 at 1:12 a.m. Monday to a home in the 700 block of Meadows Drive. Sgt. Michael Mangina said when they got to the apartment, they found the victim unresponsive. She was pronounced dead on the scene at 1:52 a.m.

Authorities ID toddler girl, 2 others killed in Jefferson County weekend crashes Updated Dec 21, 2020; Facebook Share Three people – including a 1-year-old – were killed in weekend crashes in Jefferson County. The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office on Monday identified the toddler girl as Madison Rayne Jones. She lived in Midfield. Madison had to be extricated from the vehicle and was taken to Children’s of Alabama where she was pronounced dead at 10:30 p.m. The crash remains under investigation by the sheriff’s accident reconstruction team. Two others also died in wrecks that happened Saturday, one in Bessemer and the other in Birmingham.

Authorities say woman found dead in east Louisville home was strangled to death

The body of Ursula Brown was found in a home on Greenlawn Road, not far from Herr Lane and Wilder Elementary School, at about 3 a.m. Oct. 10, according to a news release. Brown s death was initially under investigation by Louisville Metro Police s Major Crimes Unit while officials awaited her autopsy results.  The Jefferson County Coroner s Office on Wednesday announced that Brown s cause of death was determined to be manual strangulation.
