BIRMINGHAM Authorities have released the name of a man who was fatally shot last Thursday at a Chevron station in Birmingham.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim as 41-year-old Robert Jonathan Roy, of Bessemer.

BIRMINGHAM One man has been killed in a Thursday-morning shooting in west Birmingham.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office is holding the identity of the victim pending notification of next of kin.
According to a release from the Birmingham Police Department, officers were dispatched to the Chevron station located at 2301 Ensley Avenue on a report of a person shot shortly before 9 a.m. Thursday. Officers arrived on the scene and located a male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) â Police in Kentucky fatally shot a man who pulled out a gun after fleeing from a reportedly stolen vehicle, authorities said.
Ryan Bernal, 32, died Monday of a gunshot wound at University of Louisville Hospital, according to a Jefferson County Coroner s Office statement.
Louisville Metro Police said its officers were responding Sunday to a report of a stolen vehicle and saw two men flee from the suspected vehicle, news outlets reported. Officers chased them on foot and found one suspect, who they say pulled a gun, leading both officers to fire, Louisville police said in a statement.
