An Arkansas student was reportedly shot on Monday, the same day the school resumed in-person learning after being shuttered amid water issues and the coronavirus pandemic.
Law enforcement apprehended who they believed to be the gunmen after the incident at Watson Chapel Junior High School. The suspect was described as a black male in a hoodie, and it is unclear whether he was a student or teacher. The student, whose identity is yet to be disclosed, is alive but in serious condition.
