Arrest made after 77-year-old killed in Jefferson Parish hit-and-run

JEFFERSON PARISH, La. Authorities say a New Orleans faces multiple felony charges after a deadly hit-and-run crash on Causeway Boulevard in Jefferson Parish on Wednesday evening.
According to the Louisiana State Police, the crash happened just after 8 p.m. on LA 3046 (Causeway Boulevard) near Scott Street and claimed the life of 77-year-old Wayne Grenier.
Investigators say Grenier was driving southbound on Causeway Boulevard when a 2005 Dodge pickup traveling northbound crossed the median into oncoming traffic and struck Grenier’s 2013 Chevrolet Suburban. The driver of the pickup was last seen running away from the crash on foot before getting into a silver SUV near Frank H. Lemon playground.
According to Louisiana State Police, a 77-year-old man from Jefferson Parish was killed in a hit and run on Wednesday night, and authorities say they ve arrested a man in connection with the deadly crash.
According to court documents, she’d just opened the account in January.

That effort got swatted: 33-year-old Kelyn had moved the money to another account.

Kelyn Spadoni, a former 911 dispatcher for the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office, has been arrested for refusing to return $1.2 million mistakenly deposited into her brokerage account. After noticing the money, authorities say she transferred it from her brokerage account to her bank account, then bought a new house and car.
Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Jason Rivarde told NOLA.com that even though the money was put in her account by mistake, it was an accounting error and she has no legit claim to the funds. Spadoni was arrested and charged with theft valued over $25,000, bank fraud, and illegal transmission of monetary funds.
