At about 8:15 pm, deputies were dispatched to the 3600 block of Lausat St. to a report of gunshots in the area. Arriving deputies located a male victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene.

MARRERO (WVUE) -One person was killed Sunday night after crashing into a tree and a shed in the backyard of a home on the west bank, the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office says.
The crash happened around 11 p.m. in Marrero.
Deputies were called to the area of Ames Boulevard and Bayou Estates Drive in reference to the crash.
A JPSO spokesman says the vehicle was traveling north on Ames Boulevard when the driver lost control.
According to court documents, she’d just opened the account in January.

That effort got swatted: 33-year-old Kelyn had moved the money to another account.
Such didn’t bode well with local law enforcement.
As stated by Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office spokesman Capt. Jason Rivade, “It’s not her money.”

A US woman was arrested after she allegedly refused to return $1.2 million (Dh 4.4 million) that was accidentally put into her bank account.
According to Fox 8, the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office in Louisiana arrested Kelyn Spadoni, 33, and fired her from her position as a dispatcher at the office.
The money was mistakenly sent to Spadoni’s account due to a clerical error that showed up after she tried to close her account, which had less than $100 in it.
The bank quickly attempted to reclaim the money, which belonged to Charles Schwab, but found that money was unavailable. It was later found that this was because Spadoni had moved the money to another account and used some of it to buy a new house and a car.
