It’s a sad day in the world when even the people that you disagree with don’t seem to realize the implications of what they are saying.
Of course, it seems like huge portions of our country have this problem, but Shannon Watts, the head of Michael Bloomber’s Moms Demand Action, has really taken the cake for complete cluelessness with a recent social media post in reply to a story about an almost mass shooting in Louisiana (hat tip to here for the lead).
I suppose that I shouldn’t be surprised. She is an anti-gun zealot, after all.
Grand jury indicts Houma man in fatal apartment shooting
A Houma man has been indicted in connection with a fatal shooting at an apartment complex in December.
A grand jury found enough evidence Thursday to charge Joseph Simmons III, 28, with second-degree murder. He is accused of killing Troy Taylor Jr. on Dec. 5 at the Cameron Isles Apartment Complex, 711 Enterprise Drive.
An indictment does not presume guilt or innocence but indicates the grand jury found prosecutors presented enough evidence to warrant a trial on the charges.
Taylor, a resident of the apartment complex, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to Terrebonne General Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
